A moment of transmission and reflection, to explore, through images and words, the beauty of the world, the inner light and what connects us to each other.

With Matthieu Ricard, we dive into the beauty of the world, revealed through photography, wonder and spirituality, and with Ilios Kotsou, into the inner light that illuminates our emotions and soothes our spirits. For while outer peace may sometimes seem out of reach, we always have the power to cultivate deep serenity within ourselves, which can radiate far beyond ourselves.
This lecture accompanies the September release of Lumière, Matthieu Ricard's new book of photographs. Through striking images and profound reflection - the culmination of sixty years of photography - he invites us to a poem in images, which restores our confidence in human nature and fills us with wonder at the wild side of the world.

The evening will also be an opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Karuna-Shechen, the organization he founded, which works on a daily basis to break the cycle of poverty in India, Nepal and Tibet.
New photo book | Lumière
This book, the only one of its kind among the twelve photographic works previously published by Matthieu Ricard, represents for him the culmination of sixty years of photography. It will be published at the end of September by Éditions Allary, and can already be pre-ordered for €25 (retail price €32).
