PM Shri School Aruwan
Restoring the thirst for learning
In the rural areas of India, access to clean and safe drinking water remains a daily challenge. At PM Shri School in Aruwan, located in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district, students and teachers once had to rely on water filled with impurities—leading to frequent illnesses and absenteeism.

Thanks to the Karuna Neer project by Karuna-Shechen, a water filtration system was installed at the school. This seemingly simple change has profoundly transformed the life of the school community: children are healthier, more focused in class, and the midday meals are now prepared with clean, safe water.

Through the words of Headmaster Manoj Kumar Boipai, discover how access to clean water can bring back health, joy, and energy to an entire school.
